How to measure for your zip screen
With the right measurements, your zip screen will fit perfectly. Follow our step-by-step guide and measure up yourself with ease.

1. Choose your fitting type
A zip screen can be installed in several ways. Choose the option that suits your home.
2. Measure the width
Always measure in three places: top, middle and bottom. Use the smallest measurement.
Please note
- For a recess fit, measure between the walls
- For a face fit, measure the total width
- Look out for obstacles such as handles or air vents
3. Measure the height
Again, measure in three places: left, middle and right. Use the smallest measurement.
Please note
- Measure from the top to the bottom
- Measure down to the windowsill or the floor
- Check there is enough room for the cassette
4. Enter your measurements
Enter the smallest width and height of the opening in millimetres. We'll work out the order size for you.
Tip
Measure in millimetres for the best fit. We allow for the right clearance.

Do I need to allow for clearance when measuring?
No. Enter the smallest measurement of the opening; we'll work out the right clearance and order size for you.
What if my window frame isn't perfectly straight?
That's why you measure in three places and use the smallest measurement. If the differences are large (more than 10 mm), we're happy to help — just send us a photo.
Can I order several screens at once?
Yes. Design each screen separately and add them to your basket. With a Somfy Situo 5 io you can control up to five screens.
Do you offer an installation service?
