Privacy statement

We handle your personal data with care and only collect what we need. This statement explains what we process, why, and what your rights are under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. What data we process and why

Contact form: name, email address, telephone number (optional), your message and any photos you upload — to answer your question (legal basis: legitimate interest / pre-contractual steps).

Colour samples: name, email address, telephone number (optional) and delivery address — to send you the samples (legal basis: performance of your request). With your separate consent, we also use your email address for occasional news and offers; you can withdraw this consent at any time.

Orders: name, address, email address, telephone number, the configuration you chose and payment details — to make, deliver and invoice your zip screen (legal basis: performance of the contract and legal obligations).

Configurator: your measurements and choices are processed to calculate the price; they are not linked to you until you place an order.

Server logs: IP address, browser type and time of the visit — for security and to detect misuse (legal basis: legitimate interest).

3. Cookies and local storage

We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. We only use functional storage: your basket is kept in your browser’s local storage, and a functional cookie may remember your language preference. You don’t need to give consent for this. If we start using analytics or marketing cookies in the future, we will ask for your consent first.

4. Who we share data with

We only share data with parties that help us provide our service, under a data processing agreement: our hosting provider (DigitalOcean), our email providers (Google Workspace and Resend), our payment provider (once payment is available) and the carrier that delivers your order. We never sell your data.

Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. In that case, this is covered by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.

5. How long we keep your data

Contact requests: up to 2 years after the last contact. Colour sample requests: up to 1 year. Order data: as long as required by tax law (up to 7 years). Server logs: up to 30 days.

6. Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including an encrypted connection (HTTPS), restricted access and regular backups.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict or object to its processing and to data portability. You can also withdraw any consent you have given at any time. Send your request to info@zonrits.nl; we will respond within one month.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, such as the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or the authority in the country where our company is established.
